I found the Counselling sessions very helpful in understanding myself and how past experiences have affected me. I also found that I changed my behaviour without realising, taking care of myself and putting myself first for the first time probably on my life. I felt that I was made to feel as though our sessions were a safe space where I could open up, be listened to and always felt understood. – Administrator

How Counselling & Psychotherapy can help you?

Life has its ups and downs, and sometimes the changes are difficult to cope with. Whether the challenges are expected or they seem to come out of the blue – sometimes you just need someone to talk to.

The aim of Counselling and Psychotherapy is to support you in finding new ways to understand and solve the difficulties you are experiencing. By giving you the strategies you need to identify the life changes you want to make; you’ll gain the control and self-belief to manage your life more effectively.

Counselling & Psychotherapy gives you the support you need to help cope with the demands of life

Sometimes it’s easier to repeat the same patterns of thinking and behaviour, and hope the difficult times will pass by. Counselling offers a safe space for you to find new ways to balance your feelings and identify your needs.

As a professional counsellor and psychotherapist, I will listen to you in confidence and without judgement

Clients come to me for counselling for a variety of reasons such as: sleep issues, depression, negative thoughts, financial problems and many more. Through counselling, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and how you want to live your life. Resulting in most, if not all, your life distress, fatigue, loneliness and inner emptiness being eliminated.

My aim is to help you:

  • cope with issues
  • regain control of your life
  • confront destructive patterns
  • make lasting life changes
  • come off pharmacological treatments

I have been on antidepressants for 10 years. Every year the mg was increasing and my symptoms were getting worse. When I tried to stop I experienced the most horrendous side effects. My GP wanted to change the meds to something stronger. I resorted back to a higher dosage until thankfully my friend recommended you. Vanessa it was grate you had the experience and knowledge to help me come off the medication. I was addicted to my antidepressants and you helped me step, by step and most appreciated you connecting my mind and body to agree to release the attachments and balance the many chemical imbalances it caused. Working with you and my GP I was able to month by month reduce the medication as we worked on the underlying issues of the initial reasons why I went on the meds in the first instance and the many reasons that came to surface surprised and shocked me. Many I thought I buried away and didn’t effect me and some I couldn’t even remember. I am now six months without the meds, without any symptoms and feel great. I can smell the roses when I wake up and enjoy my garden and my life again and those low moods have completely gone. It wasn’t easy to face some of things that came up in the session and at times it was intense and I wanted to give up and you were there for me. I know if my story can help someone else heal and be free then I am more than happy for you to use my story because it can be done. – Khaleena, Retired Teacher

I very much enjoyed my sessions with Vanessa and found them very uplifting. I always felt much more positive after leaving the sessions.  I have also learnt the powerful technique of visualization which has allowed me to create a lot of change and eliminate past traumas from my life.  I am definitely more confident about my life. – Anonymous, UK
